Welcome to the Mighty Asquith Magpies website. Asquith Magpies is a Rugby League Club that provides the opportunity for children and young adults to play Rugby League.

The Rugby League Football Club has been operating for more than 50 years.  Our major sponsor is the Asquith Leagues Club which is the greatest little club on the North Shore and is situated in Alexandria Parade Waitara. We also receive generous support from some other kind sponsors including Crestway Building Services, Suttons Motors Waitara, and The Hornsby Advocate. Our home ground is Storey Park which is situated in Lodge St Asquith. .

Our Rugby League teams participate in the North Sydney Junior Rugby League competition for ages 6 to 12 and in the combined Manly and North Sydney Junior Leagues for ages 13-A Grade.

The North Sydney Junior competition for ages 6 to 12 play against teams from North Sydney Brothers (Tunks Park), Willoughby (Willoughby Park), Pennant Hills/Cherrybrook (Greenway Park), Hills Hawkes (Dural Park) and Berowra (Warinna St). These games are usually played on Saturday morning with the first games usually commencing around 9am.

The joint North Sydney/Manly competition for ages 13-A Grade are played throughout the North Sydney District (as per above) and Manly (dependant on the teams in the competition). Under 13 to Under 15 games are played on Saturday, generally in the afternoon whilst Under 16's through to A Grade are played on Sundays.

We also have a Masters Team (Over 35) which plays in a Sydney masters competition. This team is made up of many of our players fathers, coaches, managers and other volunteers.

Training is held on different days and different times. Under 6 to under 8 training is between 4 and 6 am on Thursdays at James Park Hornsby. Under 9 to A Grade Training is held at Storey Park Asquith between Monday and Friday dependant on the coach's availability. Our training prior to April for Storey Park will be transferred to other grounds whilst we prepare Storey Park with some nice soft grass for winter. The coaches will inform you of the appropriate venue, days and times.
